Sensory Neurobiology and Its Impact on Health And Disease

Course Presented by Department of Neurobiology , Bio Quantum Academy

Human sensory systems influence nearly every aspect of our lives, including health, mood, and behavior. When sensory systems are affected by pathologies or significant damage, disabilities in any one of these systems can lead to significant difficulties in daily living and social participation. This course is dedicated to the understanding of sensory neurobiology in health and pathology. It consists of modules that focus not only on the main structure, physiology, and functioning of human senses, multisensory perception, it’s up to date neurobiology, cellular mechanisms, and brain integration, but also share an integrative medicine professional outlook on the maintenance and modulation of sensory mechanisms with aims towards their improvement.

Content of the course on SENSORY NEUROBIOLOGY IN HEALTH AND DISEASE is highly relevant for integral medicine practitioners who serve children and adults with developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, learning disorders, the elderly, dementia, and Alzheimer’s in various settings such as education, health, therapy, and recreation. Additionally, it is beneficial for students in these fields.

Target Audience

This course is designed for individuals seeking a deeper understanding of stress, including:

  • Integrative Medicine Professionals
  • Natural Medicine Practitioners
  • Holistic Medicine Practitioners
  • Medical professionals seeking more knowledge between Neurobiology and Integrative Medicine
