Gemmotherapy. Phytotherapy. Apitherapy.
Courses Overview

Gemmotherapy-Phytoembryotherapy is a revolutionary modern drainage technique which is extracted from buds and embryonic tissues of plants to clean and detoxify the cellular pathways. Gemmotherapy remedies possess all the properties of various parts of the whole plant. The powerful ingredients in Gemmotherapy are two growth hormones Axin and Gibberellin. Dr. Pol Henry, a Belgium Homeopath and the father of Gemmotherapy. Dr. Henry was the first to conduct comprehensive research on the therapeutic properties of buds. He started treating patients with bud extracts in the 1960’s and published his research and clinical findings in 1970. He called his new therapy:

“Phyto-embryo-therapy” The discipline was further elaborated on and developed by a French Homeopath Dr. Tetae and changed name to “Gemmotherapy”. Gemmotherapy derived from the Latin “gemmae” meaning both bud of a plant and a precious stone. Gemmotherapy is a revolutionary treatment technique for clearing and draining toxic materials from the cells and all endocrine pathways in our bodies. In the 1950s, research on embryonic parts of plants had begun in Belgium but it went through a series of clinical research until 1971 that the French Doctor Tetau, Named the method Gemmotherapy. Phyto-embryo-therapy, also referred to as Gemmotherapy, is very close in concept to homeopathic therapy due to this drainage capacity. In a homeopathic sense, drainage stimulates the organs emunctories, allowing it to more effectively react to the homeopathic therapy.

Three types of drainage have been distinguished:

  1. Drainage by means of organ stimulation.
  2. Drainage by means of tissue excitation.
  3. Drainage by means of toxin elimination.
  4.

Gemmotherapy provides us with a modern method of drainage, perfectly adapted to the Vital Force disturbance being treated. It can easily be combined with other homeopathic prescriptions and medicines. Weakened by the slowing down of the elimination organs called emunctories which are trying to work while there is a continued growth of a pool of toxic substances, badly broken-down metabolites, waste material and immune complexes. A concurrent decrease in the defense systems.  Canalizing the waste products towards the exterior by opening the appropriate emunctories is the basic principle of curing by healing from the depth towards the surface. Term drainage expresses the dynamics of this therapeutic which consists of one or many organs with an excretory function. Thus, in some way the outlets are opened which permit the toxins liberated by gemmotherapy medicines to exteriorize themselves and be thus eliminated from the organisms. Gemmotherapy is registered in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia as an essential element in the homeopathic order yet remains a Biochemical Remedy and prescribed by Homeopathic Physicians, Phyto-therapists and Gemmotherapists. Gemmotherapy is nontoxic and can be applied for a very specific drainage, extremely effective and active and can be prescribed to any stage of life, from the pregnancy, infant, childhood to the elderly for any health conditions from acute to chronic. Gemmotherapy is a modern method of draining and detoxification therapy based on Homeopathic principles. Gemmotherapy uses plant bud extract and other embryonic plant tissues to open cellular detoxification pathways. It employs buds, inner bark, rootlets, or very young shoots of plants from various woodland trees and shrubs. They are harvested in the spring, throughout the period of cellular division and plant growth. During this stage they contain the highest concentration of active growth factor hormones Auxins and Gibberellins. These hormonal agents contain valuable informative matter required for the drainage of various organs and tissues at the cellular level.

Phytotherapy is a field of science that uses plants either to treat diseases or as health-promoting agents. These plant drugs are crude preparations of dried plants or any part  such as leaf, stem, root, flower, or seed. Phytotherapy is a science-based medical practice and thus is distinguished from other, more traditional approaches, such as medical herbalism, which relies on an empirical appreciation of medicinal herbs and which is often linked to traditional knowledge. Phytotherapy is also called botanical medicine, which is a form of traditional medicine that uses plants and plant extracts to promote health and treat medical conditions.

Phytotherapy relies on the therapeutic properties of various plant parts such as leaves, roots, flowers, and seeds, which contain active compounds believed to have medicinal benefits. Practitioners of phytotherapy use these plant-derived substances in different forms, including teas, extracts, capsules, and topical applications, to address a wide range of health issues. The practice of phytotherapy often draws from centuries-old traditions and knowledge of indigenous cultures regarding the medicinal properties of plants. Key aspects of phytotherapy include identifying plants with specific therapeutic actions, understanding their biochemical composition, and applying them in ways that are intended to support the body’s natural healing processes. It is important to note that while phytotherapy has a long history of use and some scientific evidence supporting its efficacy for certain conditions, the effectiveness and safety of specific herbal remedies can vary, and caution should be exercised when using them, especially in combination with conventional medications.
