AROMATHERAPY LEVEL II

Aromatherapy is an integrative support to re-establish the physical, mental and emotional physiology. Our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing are impaired by stress factors such as pollutants, disease, inadequate lifestyle, medicinal and drug abuse, exposure to bacteria and viruses and emotional unstability.

Research has suggested there be beneficial effects of aromas or fragrances are not only exerted by inhalation of the vapor but also by absorption of fragrance molecules through the skin an in some cases oral administration.

“It is long known that inhalation of aromas causes physiological and psychological changes in humans” (Tisserand, 1977) and it is assumed that the effects of aromas are evoked by both pharmacological and psycho-emotional mechanisms, we will focus on the physical benefits in thes course.

The goal is to set the pathway with the basic information on for whomever desires to acquire a “professional insight” of the aromatherapeutic universe be it for a personal interest, but evermore for those practitioners interested in integrating these “natural” remedies into their professional activities and routines.
